Welcome to the Roy Garrett Ranch
Currently the Roy Garrett Ranch falls under the umbrella of Kaycee Ranch, LLC.
For over a century the ranch has occupied a mile or better along the Powder River east of Kaycee, Wyoming. Spring and summer pastures were farther east, but the houses are located on the west side of our beloved (tempermental) tributary of the Yellowstone River.

Now, a little more about Roy Garrett.
The Short Version . . .
Roy Garrett was born in Devizes England on June 11th, 1888. By the age of 15 he had been around the world twice. For the most part he grew up in Tierra del Fuego at the southern most tip of South America.
After making the acquaintance of a party of Johnson County "expatriates" in Uruguay Roy made his way to the Wyoming in 1907, homesteading on the Dry Fork of the Powder River in 1909.
Roy enjoyed 19 months in France during WW1, but survived to return to Wyoming where he married a pretty school teacher named Elizabeth (Betty) Kreutz.
Roy and Betty went on to have four children while ranching on the Powder River east of Kaycee, WY.
